3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

This circular saw operates on the Einhell Power X-Change 18V battery system. The battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately.

  1. Ensure the tool is switched off.
  2. Slide a charged Power X-Change battery pack into the battery receptacle until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

3.2. Saw Blade Installation/Change

The saw blade can be changed quickly and easily without additional tools thanks to the spindle lock mechanism.

  1. Disconnect the battery pack from the tool.
  2. Press and hold the spindle lock button.
  3. Use the provided hex key to loosen the blade retaining screw by turning it counter-clockwise.
  4. Remove the outer flange and the old saw blade.
  5. Clean the flanges and the blade arbor.
  6. Place the new 136mm HW/TCT saw blade onto the arbor, ensuring the rotation direction arrow on the blade matches the arrow on the tool.
  7. Reinstall the outer flange and tighten the blade retaining screw clockwise while holding the spindle lock button. Ensure it is securely fastened.

3.3. Dust Extraction Connection

For a cleaner work environment, connect a suitable dust extraction system to the saw's dust port.

4.1. Adjusting Cutting Depth and Bevel Angle

  1. Cutting Depth: Loosen the depth adjustment lever. Move the base plate up or down to the desired cutting depth (max. 51 mm at 90°). Tighten the lever securely.
  2. Bevel Angle: Loosen the bevel adjustment lever. Tilt the saw base plate to the desired angle (up to 48°). Tighten the lever securely.

  1. Slide the parallel guide into the slots on the front of the base plate.

4.3. Starting and Stopping the Saw

The saw features a Softstart function for smooth power-up and an electric motor brake for quick stopping.

  1. Starting: Press the safety lock-off button, then squeeze the trigger switch. The Softstart feature will ensure a gradual increase in speed.
  2. Stopping: Release the trigger switch. The electric motor brake will quickly stop the blade rotation.
