Introduction
The AQUASTRONG Solar Pool Ionizer (Model SPI025) is designed to provide an efficient and eco-friendly solution for maintaining clear and healthy pool water. Utilizing solar power, this device releases copper ions into your pool, which act as a natural algaecide, significantly reducing the need for traditional chlorine. This manual will guide you through the proper setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ionizer.

Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your AQUASTRONG Solar Pool Ionizer:
- Assemble the Ionizer: Attach the copper anode, stainless steel spring, and filter basket to the main solar unit using the provided screw. Ensure all parts are securely fastened.
- Place in Pool: Gently place the assembled ionizer into your pool. It is designed to float on the water surface.
- Optimal Placement: Position the ionizer in an area that receives direct sunlight for at least 4-5 hours daily to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Use Tether Rope (Optional but Recommended): Attach the tether rope to the ionizer and secure the other end to a fixed point on your pool deck. This prevents the ionizer from drifting into shaded areas or pool cleaning equipment.

Operation
The AQUASTRONG Solar Pool Ionizer operates by converting sunlight into a low-voltage electrical current. This current passes through the copper anode, releasing positively charged copper ions into the pool water. These ions effectively inhibit algae growth and help clarify the water.

LED Indicator Light
The ionizer features a smart LED indicator light. When the unit is receiving sufficient sunlight and actively generating ions, the LED will illuminate. If the LED is off, the unit is not actively ionizing, which may indicate insufficient sunlight or a need for cleaning.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your AQUASTRONG Solar Pool Ionizer.
Cleaning the Copper Anode
The copper anode will accumulate mineral deposits over time, which can reduce its effectiveness. It is recommended to clean the copper anode weekly or bi-weekly, depending on pool usage and water hardness. Use the provided metal brush to scrub off any buildup from the copper rod and filter basket.

Solar Panel Cleaning
Periodically wipe the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, debris, or mineral buildup. A clean solar panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and efficient ion production.

Monitoring Copper Levels
It is crucial to regularly monitor the copper ion levels in your pool water. The ideal range for copper ions is typically 0.2 to 0.5 ppm (parts per million). Use the included copper ion test strips or a dedicated copper test kit for accurate readings. Maintaining copper levels within this range prevents staining of pool surfaces and ensures effective algae control without over-ionization. If copper levels exceed 0.5 ppm, temporarily remove the ionizer from the pool until levels return to the recommended range.
