3. Setup and Installation

The installation of the heating rod is straightforward, but it is crucial to follow safety guidelines and ensure proper placement.

3.1 Pre-Installation Checks

  • Verify that the power supply to the radiator circuit is completely disconnected.
  • Ensure the towel radiator is filled with sufficient liquid (water or antifreeze solution).
  • Confirm that the radiator's power rating is suitable for the 300W heating rod (ideal for radiators with 300W to 600W output).

3.2 Installation Steps

  1. Unscrew the existing plug or valve from the lower part of your towel radiator.
  2. Carefully insert the EMKE heating rod into the opening at the bottom of the radiator.
  3. Tighten the G1/2" connector thread securely to prevent leaks.
  4. Ensure the heating rod is positioned vertically and fully submerged in the radiator liquid.
  5. Connect the heating rod's power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
  6. Restore power to the radiator circuit.

Important Note: The heating rod must always be installed in the lower section of the towel radiator for optimal performance and safety.

4.3 Heating Modes

The heating rod features four distinct operating modes:

  • Comfort Mode (30°C): Provides maximum warmth for a cozy bathroom environment.
  • Economy Mode (20°C): Maintains a comfortable temperature while optimizing energy consumption.
  • Boost Mode (70°C): Rapidly heats the radiator for quick towel drying or immediate warmth.
  • Antifreeze Mode (<7°C): Automatically activates when the room temperature drops below 7°C to prevent freezing.

5. Maintenance

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your heating rod, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
