Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. Ensure all included components are present:

2. Battery Installation

The digital keypad requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment cover.

3. Initial Opening and Setting Passwords

Upon first use, open the safe using the emergency key. The initial password is typically 159 + "#". Once open, locate the red RESET button on the inside of the door. Press the RESET button, then enter your desired 3-8 digit new password on the keypad and confirm by pressing "#".

4. Mounting the Safe

For maximum security, it is highly recommended to bolt the safe to a wall, closet, or floor. The safe features pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom. Use the provided expansion bolts to secure the safe to a solid surface.

  1. Position the safe in the desired location.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe.
  3. Drill holes into the wall/floor using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion bolts.
  5. Tighten the bolts securely to fix the safe in place.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Safe

The safe can be opened using three methods:

  • Personal Password: Enter your programmed 3-8 digit password followed by "#". Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
  • Emergency Key: Insert the emergency key into the keyhole, turn it, and simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
  • External Power Box (if batteries are dead): Connect the external power box to the Type-C port on the keypad. Enter your personal password followed by "#". Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

2. Using the Drop Slot

The quick place drop slot allows for secure deposits without opening the main safe. Simply place items into the slot, and they will fall into the main compartment. The anti-fishing baffle prevents unauthorized retrieval from the slot.

3. Alarm System and Silent Mode

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system. If an incorrect password is entered 3 times consecutively, the alarm will activate for 20 seconds. If 6 incorrect attempts are made, the alarm will sound for 5 minutes.

To activate or deactivate silent mode, press "*66" to turn off the sound or "*633" to turn on the sound.

4. Backlit Keypad

The keypad features a backlight for improved visibility in dark environments, allowing for easy operation at night.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the safe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low power indicator appears on the keypad. Always use 4 new AA batteries.
  • Key Storage: Store emergency keys and drawer box keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically check the locking bolts and hinges for smooth operation.
