3. Setup

Before operating the pressure washer, ensure it is properly assembled and all connections are secure.

3.1 Assembly

  1. Attach the handle assembly to the main unit using the provided hardware.
  2. Connect the high-pressure hose to the pump outlet and the spray gun.
  3. Attach the desired quick-connect spray tip to the spray gun.

3.2 Fuel and Oil

  1. Fill the engine with the recommended type and amount of engine oil. Refer to the engine manual for specific oil requirements.
  2. Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.

3.3 Water Connection

  1. Connect a garden hose to the water inlet on the pump. Ensure the hose is free of kinks and has a minimum diameter of 5/8 inch.
  2. Turn on the water supply completely.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the pump and hose until a steady stream of water emerges.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Engine

  1. Ensure the pressure washer is on a level surface.
  2. Check oil and fuel levels.
  3. Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
  4. Move the choke lever to the "FULL CHOKE" position (if the engine is cold).
  5. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
  6. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.

4.2 Using the Spray Gun and Tips

  • Quick-Connect Tips: The pressure washer comes with 0° (red), 15° (yellow), 40° (white), and soap (black) quick-connect spray tips. Select the appropriate tip for your cleaning task.
  • 0° Tip (Red): Concentrated, high-pressure stream for spot cleaning tough stains. Use with caution.
  • 15° Tip (Yellow): Narrow fan spray for intense cleaning of smaller areas.
  • 40° Tip (White): Wide fan spray for general cleaning and rinsing.
  • Soap Tip (Black): Low-pressure wide spray for applying detergents.
  • To change tips, pull back the collar on the quick-connect fitting, insert the desired tip, and release the collar. Ensure it is securely seated.

4.3 Shutting Down

  1. Turn off the engine switch.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.

5.1 Engine Maintenance

  • Oil Change: Change engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually.
  • Air Filter: Check and clean the air filter regularly. Replace if damaged.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug annually and replace if necessary.
  • Refer to the engine manufacturer's manual for detailed maintenance schedules.

5.2 Pump Maintenance

  • Inlet Screen: Regularly check and clean the water inlet screen to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Pump Saver: Use a pump saver solution before long-term storage to protect internal components from corrosion and freezing.

5.3 Storage

  • Drain all water from the pump and hoses to prevent freezing damage.
  • Add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank or drain the fuel completely for extended storage.
  • Store the pressure washer in a clean, dry, and protected area.
