Setup and Installation
Installation typically takes about 20 minutes with basic tools like a screwdriver and drill bit. The lock is designed to fit most Canadian standard wooden doors (thickness: 1.49-1.97 inches, hole diameter: 2-1/8 inches) and metal doors, featuring an adjustable latch.
1. Prepare the Door
Ensure your door meets the specified dimensions. The latch is adjustable for different backset distances (60mm or 70mm).

2. Adjust Latch Direction
The handle is reversible for left or right-handed doors. Adjust the latch direction according to your door's opening direction (inward or outward, left or right).

3. Install the Latch Bolt
Insert the latch bolt into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the angled part of the latch faces the door frame for proper closing.
4. Connect Wiring and Install Handles
Pass the IC wire from the exterior handle through the door hole. Connect the wire to the interior handle's battery panel. Secure both handles to the door using the provided screws and connecting rods.

5. Install Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the interior handle. Insert 4 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery cover.
Operating Instructions
1. APP Unlocking (Tuya BLE APP)
- Download the Tuya Smart APP from your app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair your smart lock.
- Use the APP to unlock/lock the door, manage users, generate dynamic passwords for guests, and view access logs.
- Receive real-time alerts for family member returns or abnormal alarms.
- Adjust the auto-lock time (1-30S) and door lock volume via the app.
2. Fingerprint Unlocking
- Register your fingerprints through the APP or directly on the lock (refer to APP user guide for detailed steps).
- Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor to unlock.

3. PIN Code Unlocking
- Wake up the keypad by touching it.
- Enter your registered PIN code followed by "#" to unlock.
- Virtual Password Anti-Snooping: You can enter random numbers before and after your actual password to prevent others from guessing your code.
- Silent Mode: The keypad can be set to silent mode via the app for quiet operation.
4. Key Unlocking
In case of electronic malfunction or battery depletion, use the provided mechanical key to unlock the door.
5. Auto-Lock and Passage Mode
- Auto-Lock: The lock can be configured via the app to automatically lock after a set period (1-30 seconds) after closing.
- Passage Mode: Activate this mode via the app to keep the door unlocked for frequent access, ideal for periods when many people need to enter and exit.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The smart lock is powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included). When the low-battery reminder activates, replace all four batteries promptly. To replace:
- Unscrew the cover on the interior handle.
- Carefully disconnect the battery pack wiring.
- Remove old batteries and insert new 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Reconnect the wiring and secure the cover.
Emergency Power
If batteries completely deplete and you are locked out, use the USB emergency port on the exterior handle to temporarily power the lock with a power bank for access.
Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use the USB emergency port.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint through the app.
- Forgotten password: Reset the password via the Tuya Smart APP.
- Door not locking/unlocking smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the door frame or ensure the latch bolt is correctly aligned.
