Safety Information

Your child's safety is paramount. Follow these guidelines to prevent injury:

  • Anti-Tip Kit: Always install the provided anti-tip kit to securely anchor the dresser to the wall. This prevents tipping accidents, which can cause serious injury or death.
  • Changing Tray Guardrail: The changing tray features a high guardrail designed to prevent rolling during diaper changes. Never leave a child unattended on the changing table.
  • Weight Limits: Do not exceed the recommended weight limits for the top surface (132 lbs) and drawers (22 lbs per drawer).
  • Assembly: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and all fasteners are tightened before use. Regularly check for loose hardware.
  • Supervision: Keep children away from the dresser during assembly. Do not allow children to climb on or play with the dresser or drawers.
  • Placement: Place the dresser on a flat, stable surface. Keep it away from windows where cords or blinds could pose a strangulation hazard.

Operating Instructions

Using the Changing Station:

  • Place a changing pad (not included) within the designated area on top of the dresser.
  • Always keep one hand on your child while they are on the changing table.
  • Utilize the guardrail for added security during diaper changes.

Drawer Usage:

  • The dresser features 6 spacious drawers for larger items like diapers and blankets, and 3 smaller drawers for creams, wipes, and pacifiers.
  • Organize baby essentials for easy access during changing times.

Converting to a Standard Dresser:

  • The changing tray is removable. Once your child outgrows the need for a changing station, the tray can be easily detached.
  • This converts the unit into a standard 9-drawer dresser, suitable for a child's room or other areas of the home.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Use mild soap if necessary, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the wood finish.
  • Wood Care: The dresser is made from solid pine. To maintain its natural beauty, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperature changes, which can cause warping or fading.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain stability and safety.
  • Drawer Slides: If drawers become stiff, a small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the drawer slides.
