3.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the keyboard to a USB power source using the provided USB-C cable. The smart screen will indicate charging status. A full charge is recommended for optimal battery performance.

3.3 Connecting the Keyboard

The TH108 PRO supports three connection modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. Use the switch on the back of the keyboard to select your desired mode.

3.3.1 USB-C Wired Connection

  1. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to 'USB-C'.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard and your computer.
  3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your system.

3.3.2 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB dongle stored in the slot on the back of the keyboard.
  2. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to '2.4G'.
  3. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
  4. The keyboard will automatically connect.

3.3.3 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to 'BT'.
  2. On your device (PC, Mac, tablet, phone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  3. Press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for BT1, BT2, or BT3 respectively. The smart screen will indicate pairing status.
  4. Select 'EPOMAKER TH108 PRO' from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your system.
  5. Once paired, the smart screen will confirm the connection. You can switch between paired Bluetooth devices by pressing Fn + Q/W/E.

4.1 Smart Screen and Knob Functions

  • Knob Press: Mutes/unmutes audio.
  • Fn + Knob Rotation: Switches between smart screen functions (e.g., RGB brightness, RGB speed, volume, language).
  • Fn + Knob Press: Confirms selection or enters a menu on the smart screen.

5.1 Web-Based Driver

Access the EPOMAKER web-based driver (refer to the official EPOMAKER website for the link) to:

  • Remap keys and create custom layouts.
  • Record and assign macros.
  • Customize RGB lighting effects, colors, brightness, and speed.
  • Upload custom GIFs or images to the smart screen.
  • Adjust system settings and polling rate.

5.2 Hot-Swappable Switches

The keyboard's hot-swappable design allows you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This enables you to customize the typing feel and sound to your preference.

The keyboard comes with either Sea Salt Silent V2 switches or Creamy Jade switches, both pre-lubed linear mechanical switches. You can replace them with other compatible 5-pin switches.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and chassis.
  • For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the keyboard's finish.

6.2 Replacing Switches and Keycaps

  • Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove keycaps by hooking it onto the keycap and pulling upwards.
  • Use the provided switch puller to remove switches by aligning its prongs with the two clips on the top and bottom of the switch, squeezing, and pulling upwards.
  • When installing new switches, ensure the pins are straight and align correctly with the hot-swap sockets before pressing down firmly.
  • When installing new keycaps, align them with the switch stem and press down gently until secure.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Wired Mode: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
  • 2.4GHz Wireless: Ensure the 2.4G dongle is plugged in and the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Try re-pairing by pressing Fn + R.
  • Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in BT mode. Re-pair the device if necessary (Fn + Q/W/E). Check keyboard battery level.
  • Battery: Charge the keyboard if the battery is low.

7.2 Smart Screen Not Displaying

  • Check the keyboard's battery level.
  • Ensure the screen is not turned off via software settings.
  • Try restarting the keyboard by turning it off and on.

7.3 RGB Backlight Not Working

  • Adjust brightness using Fn + ↑.
