4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

The device is equipped with a 3,950mAh Li-ion Polymer battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Charge the device regularly, but avoid leaving it fully discharged for extended periods.
  • If storing the device for a long time, charge it to approximately 50% before turning it off.

4.2 Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and body of the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen or finish.

4.3 Software Updates

Periodically check for software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Updates can typically be found in the device's settings menu under 'System' or 'About device'.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Screen Appearance (Darkness/Color)

The Kaleido 3 color e-ink technology inherently results in a darker or grayer screen compared to traditional LCD/LED displays. This is a characteristic of e-ink technology and not a defect. Adjusting the front light (warm and cold) can improve readability. If the screen appears too dark, ensure the front light is enabled and adjusted to a suitable level.

5.2 Device Freezing or Unresponsive

If the device becomes unresponsive or freezes:

  • Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 10-15 seconds to force a restart.
  • If the issue persists, ensure the device has sufficient battery charge.

5.3 Rapid Battery Drain

If you experience unusually fast battery depletion:

  • Check for background applications running and close unnecessary ones.
  • Reduce screen brightness or disable the front light when not needed.
  • Disable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when not in use.
  • Ensure the device's software is up to date.
