1. Introduction and Overview

The DARKBEAM B97-395nm UV Flashlight is a powerful ultraviolet light source designed for various detection and curing applications. Featuring 6 quad-core P50 UV LEDs, it delivers high intensity 395nm UV light, suitable for tasks such as pet urine detection, identifying uranium glass, curing UV resin, and detecting scorpions. This flashlight incorporates stepless dimming for adjustable brightness and a rechargeable battery with USB-C input and USB output functionality.

3. Safety Information

WARNING: Do not look directly at the UV light to avoid eye damage. Always use the provided UV glasses or other appropriate eye protection when operating the flashlight.

Ultraviolet light can be harmful to eyes and skin with prolonged direct exposure. Use responsibly and keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup

1. Initial Charge: Although the battery is pre-installed, it is recommended to fully charge the flashlight before first use. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the flashlight's charging port and a compatible USB power source (output within 5V/2A). The power indicator light on the switch will be RED during charging and turn GREEN when fully charged.
2. Attach Lanyard: Secure the lanyard to the designated loop on the flashlight for convenient carrying and to prevent accidental drops.
3. Wear UV Glasses: Always wear the included UV glasses before operating the flashlight to protect your eyes from ultraviolet radiation.

5. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Mode Selection

• Power On: Press the power switch once to turn on the flashlight. It will typically start in a default mode.
• Mode Cycling: Briefly press the power switch again to cycle between available modes (e.g., Weak mode, Strong mode).
• Power Off: Press the power switch to turn off the flashlight.

Stepless Dimming

The flashlight features a stepless dimming function for precise brightness control:

• While the flashlight is on, long press the power switch. The brightness will gradually increase or decrease.
• Release the switch when the desired brightness level is reached.
• To change the dimming direction, release the switch and long press it again.

6. Charging and Power Bank Function

Charging the Flashlight

• Connect the USB-C cable to the flashlight's input port and a 5V/2A USB power adapter.
• The power indicator light will glow RED during charging.
• Once fully charged, the indicator light will turn GREEN.

Power Bank Function (USB Output)

The flashlight can also serve as an emergency power bank:

• Connect your electronic device (e.g., smartphone) to the flashlight's USB-A output port using an appropriate charging cable.
• The flashlight will provide emergency power to your device.

• Pet Urine Detection: Reveals hidden pet stains on carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Uranium Glass & Mineral Detection: Causes uranium glass and certain minerals to fluoresce brightly.

• UV Resin Curing: Accelerates the curing process of UV-sensitive resins for crafts and repairs.
• Leak Detection: Can be used with UV dyes to find leaks in HVAC systems, automotive fluids, etc.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the lens clean for optimal performance.
• Storage: Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
• Water Resistance: The flashlight has an IPX65 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is not designed for submersion. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

9. Troubleshooting

• Flashlight not turning on: Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect to a power source and check the charging indicator.
• Light is dim or flickering: Recharge the battery. If the issue persists after a full charge, the battery may need replacement or there could be an internal issue.
• Charging not working: Check the USB-C cable and power adapter for damage. Ensure the connections are secure. Try a different cable or adapter.
• USB output not charging devices: Ensure the flashlight has sufficient charge. Try a different USB cable for the device.
