Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Yohood 10FT Portable Basketball Hoop System. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure safe and correct operation. Retain this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
- Base Stability: Always ensure the base is filled with water or sand to the recommended capacity before use. An unstable base can lead to tipping and injury.
- Supervision: Children should be supervised by an adult when using the basketball hoop.
- Height Adjustment: Exercise caution when adjusting the hoop height. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely fastened after adjustment.
- Avoid Hanging: Do not hang on the rim or backboard. This can cause damage to the system and lead to serious injury.
- Weather Conditions: In strong winds or severe weather, lay the hoop down or secure it to prevent it from blowing over.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections to ensure they are tight and secure.

Setup and Assembly
Assembly is designed to be straightforward with labeled parts and clear instructions. It is recommended to have at least two adults for assembly.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Verify against the package contents list.
- Assemble Base: Attach the pole sections to the base according to the provided diagrams. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
- Fill Base for Stability: The base must be filled with a stabilizing agent.
- Water: The base can hold approximately 77.2 lbs of water.
- Sand: For greater stability, the base can hold approximately 115.7 lbs of sand. Sand provides more weight per volume and is less prone to freezing.

- Attach Backboard and Rim: Secure the backboard to the upper pole section, then attach the rim and net. Ensure all connections are firm.
- Adjust Height: Use the height adjustment mechanism to set the desired hoop height. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for details.

Operating Instructions
Height Adjustment
The Yohood Basketball Hoop features an 11-level height adjustment system, ranging from 3.3 feet to 10 feet. This allows the hoop to be adapted for various ages and skill levels.
- Loosen Adjustment Knob: Locate the adjustment knob on the main pole. Turn the knob to the "LOOSEN" position.
- Adjust Height: Carefully raise or lower the pole to the desired height. The laser-etched scale provides clear markings for precise adjustment.
- Secure Knob: Once the desired height is reached, turn the knob to the "TIGHTEN" position to secure the pole firmly in place.

Portability
The hoop is designed for easy relocation. To move the system:
- Ensure the base is adequately filled for stability during movement.
- Slightly tilt the hoop system backward to engage the front wheels.
- Roll the hoop to the desired location.
- Gently lower the hoop back to a stable, upright position.
Maintenance
- Base Level: Regularly check the fill level of the base (water or sand) and refill as necessary to maintain stability.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all bolts, nuts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware to prevent wobbling or structural failure.
- Cleaning: Clean the backboard and pole with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Net Replacement: The system includes two weather-resistant nets. Replace the net if it becomes worn or damaged.
- Winter Storage: If storing outdoors in freezing temperatures, consider emptying the water from the base to prevent ice expansion damage. Sand is generally more suitable for cold climates.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Hoop is unstable or wobbles. | Base is not sufficiently filled with water or sand. Loose hardware. | Ensure the base is completely filled. Check and tighten all bolts and nuts. |
| Difficulty adjusting height. | Adjustment knob is too tight or mechanism is stiff. | Ensure the adjustment knob is fully loosened. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the sliding parts if necessary. |
| Hoop rolls unexpectedly. | Wheels are not locked (if applicable) or hoop is not fully lowered. | Ensure the hoop is in a stable, upright position and not tilted on its wheels when in use. |
