3.1. Prepare Your PC Case

  • Power Off: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
  • Open Case: Remove the side panel of your PC case to access the interior.
  • Identify Mounting Area: The bracket typically mounts to the PCIe slot area at the rear of your case, below your graphics card.

3.2. Install the Support Bracket

  1. Position the Bracket: Align the mounting holes on the bracket with the available PCIe expansion slots at the rear of your PC case. The bracket should be positioned directly below your graphics card.

  5. Adjust Support Height: Locate the adjustable support post on the bracket. Rotate the knob or slide the mechanism to raise or lower the support post until it makes firm contact with the underside of your graphics card. The goal is to gently lift and support the graphics card, preventing sag without putting excessive upward pressure.

  7. Connect ARGB Cable: Connect the ARGB cable from the support bracket to an available 3-pin 5V ARGB header on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for the exact location of the ARGB header. Do not connect to a 4-pin 12V RGB header, as this will damage the ARGB lighting.

4. Operating the ARGB Lighting

The ThermalRight TR-GCSF ARGB Graphics Card Support Bracket features Addressable RGB (ARGB) lighting, which can be controlled and synchronized with your motherboard's lighting software.

  • Motherboard Synchronization: Once the ARGB cable is connected to a compatible 3-pin 5V ARGB header on your motherboard, you can use your motherboard's proprietary RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to customize lighting effects, colors, and patterns.
  • Independent Control (if applicable): If your PC case or a separate RGB controller has a dedicated ARGB controller, you may be able to control the lighting independently. Refer to your case or controller manual for specific instructions.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your support bracket.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the bracket with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust buildup. Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on the bracket or near electrical connections.
  • Check Connections: Ensure all screws are tight and the ARGB cable connection remains secure.
  • Verify Support: Occasionally check that the support post is still firmly in contact with the graphics card and providing adequate support. Adjust if necessary.
