1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the KISSAIR Oil Radiator Heater, Model ZOH205A. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new heater. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Always unplug heater when not in use.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater includes a Tip-Over Safety Switch that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally knocked over. It also features Overheat Protection that cuts power if internal temperatures become excessive.

3. Package Contents

Upon opening the package, please ensure all components are present and undamaged:

4. Assembly Instructions

Your KISSAIR Oil Radiator Heater requires minimal assembly before first use. Follow these steps to attach the caster wheels:

  1. Carefully unpack the heater and all accessories from the box.
  2. Place the heater upside down on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratching.
  3. Locate the two U-shaped caster wheel assemblies.
  4. Align the holes on the caster wheel assemblies with the mounting holes on the bottom of the heater, at each end.
  5. Insert the threaded rods of the caster assemblies into the holes.
  6. Secure each caster assembly by screwing the wing nuts onto the threaded rods. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
  7. Carefully turn the heater upright. Ensure it is stable on its new wheels.

The heater is now ready for placement and operation.

5. Setup and Placement

Proper placement ensures optimal performance and safety:

  • Place the heater on a firm, level surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clear space around the heater from any walls, furniture, curtains, or other combustible materials.
  • Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  • The integrated carry handle and smooth-rolling casters allow for easy movement between rooms.

6. Operating Instructions

The KISSAIR Oil Radiator Heater features simple controls for customized comfort:

6.1. Powering On and Selecting Heat Mode

  1. Ensure the heater is plugged into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the Power Switch (lower knob) to select one of the three heating modes:
    • Low: For minimal heat output.
    • Medium: For moderate heat output.
    • High (1500W): For maximum heat output and rapid warming.
  3. The power indicator light will illuminate when the heater is operating.

6.2. Adjusting the Thermostat

  1. Turn the Adjustable Thermostat knob (upper knob) clockwise to increase the desired temperature or counter-clockwise to decrease it.
  2. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.

6.3. Powering Off

To turn off the heater, rotate the Power Switch knob to the 'OFF' position. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet when not in use for extended periods.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater:

8.1. Cleaning

  • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.
  • Clean dust from the fins and air vents regularly using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a soft cloth.

8.2. Storage

  • When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place.
  • Wrap the power cord neatly around the integrated cord storage hooks to prevent damage.
  • It is recommended to store the heater in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
