Maintenance
Cleaning
After each use, rinse the float tube with fresh water to remove dirt, salt, and debris. Use a mild soap solution for stubborn stains. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material. Allow the float tube to dry completely before storage.
Deflation and Storage
- Open the Boston valves to allow air to escape. You can gently press on the pontoons to assist deflation.
- Once deflated, ensure the float tube is clean and completely dry.
- Fold the float tube neatly and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Repair Kit Usage
In case of a minor puncture, use the provided repair kit. Clean the area around the puncture, apply adhesive (not included, or use adhesive from kit if provided) to the patch and the damaged area, and firmly press the patch over the puncture. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to cure before re-inflating.
Troubleshooting
- Air Leakage: Check that both Boston valves are securely closed. Inspect the pontoons for any visible punctures or damage. Use the repair kit for minor leaks.
- Pump Malfunction: Ensure the pump nozzle is correctly inserted into the valve and that there are no blockages in the pump hose. If the pump is damaged, a replacement may be necessary.
- Seat/Frame Instability: Verify that all seat and frame connections are properly assembled and tightened. Ensure the seat is correctly positioned on its supports.
- Difficulty Aligning Tubes: During assembly, ensure the inflatable tubes are correctly aligned within their covers before full inflation to prevent misalignment issues.
