Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your patio umbrella.
- Cleaning the Canopy: Clean the polyester canopy with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before closing or storing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Cleaning the Frame and Base: Wipe down the steel frame and fillable base with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use mild soap and water.
- Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel free of dust and debris to ensure efficient charging. Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth.
- Seasonal Storage: During off-season or prolonged periods of non-use, it is recommended to close the umbrella, cover it with the included canopy cover, and store it in a dry, protected area. For winter, disassemble and store indoors to prevent weather damage.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions.
- Umbrella is unstable: Ensure the fillable base is completely filled with the recommended weight of sand (308 lbs) or water (220 lbs). Check that all pole connections are securely tightened.
- Umbrella does not open/close smoothly: Inspect the crank mechanism for any obstructions. Ensure the canopy fabric is not caught in the frame. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary.
- LED lights are not working: Verify the solar panel is clean and has received sufficient direct sunlight (7-8 hours) for charging. Check the power switch for the lights. Ensure there are no loose wire connections.
- Umbrella rotates freely without using the foot pedal: Ensure the foot pedal mechanism is not obstructed and is fully engaged when released.
