5. Initial Settings

Upon first power-on, set the date, time, and preferred language. Navigate through the menu using the control buttons to adjust video resolution, loop recording duration, G-sensor sensitivity, and other settings.

Operating

1. Automatic Recording

Once powered on, the RoadEye DC04 automatically begins loop recording across all three channels (front, cabin, rear). The front camera records in 4K, while the cabin and rear cameras record in 1080P.

2. G-Sensor Emergency Recording

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical incident footage is preserved.

3. 24-Hour Parking Monitoring

With an optional hardwire kit (sold separately), the dash cam can provide 24-hour parking surveillance. It detects collisions or motion while the vehicle is parked and records footage to protect your car. The G-sensor also functions in parking mode.

  • View live footage from all three cameras.
  • Download recorded videos and photos to your smartphone.
  • Adjust dash cam settings.
  • Share incident videos directly from your phone.

7. Voice Prompts

The dash cam supports voice prompts for hands-free control. Commands like "Turn on Wi-Fi," "Take picture," or "Turn on audio" can be used to control specific functions without touching the device.

Maintenance

1. MicroSD Card Management

  • Formatting: Regularly format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) within the dash cam's settings to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth operation.
  • Replacement: MicroSD cards have a limited lifespan. Replace the card if you notice recording errors or degraded performance.
  • Recommended Cards: Use high-endurance Class 10, U3 MicroSD cards from reputable brands.

2. Cleaning the Lenses and Screen

Gently wipe the camera lenses and the LCD screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surfaces.

Periodically check the Crossbeats official website or app for available firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and access to new features.
