5.1 Basic Vacuum Sealing Procedure
Figure 6: Visual guide for the vacuum sealing process.
- Prepare the Bag: Place the food item into a vacuum sealer bag. Ensure there is at least 2-3 inches of empty space between the food and the top of the bag. The open end of the bag must be clean, dry, and flat.
- Position the Bag: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat across the sealing strip and within the drip tray area. The bag positioning clamp helps prevent shifting.
- Close the Lid: Press down firmly on both sides of the lid until you hear a click, indicating it is securely latched.
- Select Mode: Choose the appropriate mode on the control panel based on your food type (e.g., "Dry" for dry foods, "Moist" for foods with some liquid). You can also select pressure settings ("Gentle" or "Normal") and sealing options ("Single" or "Double" seal).
- Start Sealing: Press the "Vac&Seal" button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air out of the bag and then seal it. The progress display will show a countdown.
- Release and Remove: Once the process is complete (display shows "00"), press the "Cancel" button or wait for the machine to automatically release the lid. Carefully remove the sealed bag.
5.2 Understanding Control Panel Functions

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your vacuum sealer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. |
| Vacuum pump runs but does not seal. | Bag not properly positioned; lid not fully latched; bag opening is wet or wrinkled. | Reposition the bag, ensuring it is flat and within the vacuum chamber. Press down firmly on the lid until it clicks. Ensure the bag opening is dry and smooth. |
| Bag does not vacuum completely. | Air leakage from bag or seal; too much liquid in the bag; bag is overfilled. | Check the bag for punctures or tears. Ensure the sealing area is clean and dry. Do not overfill bags. For moist foods, use "Moist" or "Damp" mode. |
| Seal is weak or incomplete. | Sealing strip is dirty or worn; bag material incompatible; insufficient sealing time. | Clean the sealing strip. Use only MZROT recommended vacuum sealer bags. Try "Double Seal" mode or "Manual Seal/High Temp Seal" if applicable. |
| "Full of water" indicator is on. | Detachable sink is full. | Remove and empty the detachable sink as per Section 6.1. |
