4. Product Overview
The MDSS BP-S10 monitor features a large LCD display and intuitive buttons for easy operation. Key components include:

5. Setup
5.1. Installing Batteries
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back or side of the monitor.
- Insert four (4) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2. Connecting the Arm Cuff
- Locate the air tube on the arm cuff.
- Insert the connector at the end of the air tube firmly into the air jack on the side of the monitor unit.
- Ensure the connection is secure to prevent air leakage during measurement.
5.3. Setting Date and Time (Initial Setup)
Refer to the on-screen prompts or specific instructions in the device's display for setting the date and time using the SET button. This ensures accurate record-keeping.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Preparing for Measurement
- Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, exercising, or bathing for 30 minutes before measurement.
- Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
- Sit in a comfortable position with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
- Place your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.
6.2. Applying the Arm Cuff
- Slide your arm through the cuff loop.
- Position the cuff so the air tube runs down the center of your inner arm, aligned with your middle finger.
- The bottom edge of the cuff should be approximately 2-3 cm above your elbow joint.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your upper arm. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose. The universal cuff fits arm circumferences from 22 to 42 cm.
6.3. Taking a Measurement
- Press the ON/OFF button to power on the device. The monitor will automatically begin inflation.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- The integrated voice feature will announce the results clearly.
- The measurement will be automatically stored in the device's memory.

6.4. Memory Function
The monitor can store up to 99 readings for two users. To access stored readings:
- Press the MEM button when the device is off or displaying results.
- Repeatedly press MEM to scroll through previous measurements.
- To switch between User 1 and User 2 memory, use the SET button (refer to device display for specific user selection method).
7. Maintenance and Storage
- Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a cloth lightly dampened with water and mild soap, then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
