Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the water tank, milk tank, portafilter, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  3. Positioning: Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Open the lid of the water tank and fill it with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level. Close the lid securely.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet (220-240V, 50Hz).
  6. First Use Cycle (Priming): Before brewing coffee, run a cycle without coffee to prime the pump and clean the internal system. Fill the water tank, place a cup under the portafilter, and run an espresso cycle. Repeat this process for the steam wand by releasing some steam into a cup.

Operating Instructions

Making Espresso:

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
  2. Insert the filter basket into the portafilter.
  3. Add ground coffee to the filter basket. For a single shot, use one scoop; for a double shot, use two. Level the coffee and tamp it gently.
  4. Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and twisting firmly to the right until secure.
  5. Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts.
  6. Press the desired espresso button (single or double shot) on the control panel. The machine will pre-heat and then begin brewing.
  7. The machine will automatically stop when the cycle is complete.
  8. Carefully remove the portafilter, discard the used coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter basket.

Frothing Milk for Cappuccinos and Lattes:

  1. Fill the milk tank with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the MAX level.
  2. Ensure the milk tank is properly inserted into the machine.
  3. Place a cup under the steam wand.
  4. Select the cappuccino or latte function on the control panel. The machine will heat the milk and dispense frothed milk into your cup.
  5. Alternatively, for manual frothing, use the steam wand. Turn the steam function ON and wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate.
  6. Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of cold milk in a separate frothing pitcher.
  7. Open the steam knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
  8. Once desired foam and temperature are reached, close the steam knob and turn off the steam function.
  9. Wipe the steam wand immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine. Always unplug the machine and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Portafilter and Filter Basket: After each use, remove and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under running water. Remove any residual coffee grounds.
  • Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray and grid daily. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank and rinse it. Refill with fresh water for the next use.
  • Milk Tank/Steam Wand: After frothing milk, immediately clean the milk tank and wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove milk residue. Run a short burst of steam through the wand to clear any internal blockages.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.

Descaling:

Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, descaling should be performed every 2-3 months. Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for coffee machines and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) can be used. Run the descaling solution through the machine as if brewing coffee, then rinse thoroughly by running several cycles with fresh water.
