Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and sapphire crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the rubber strap, a damp cloth with mild soap can be used, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Water Resistance: This watch is water resistant to 5 ATM (50 meters). It is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch is powered by a battery. When the battery runs low, the second hand may jump in two-second intervals as an End-of-Life (EOL) indicator. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watchmaker or authorized Bulova service center to maintain water resistance and warranty.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F) or sudden temperature changes.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as they can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.
