Initial Setup
- Plug In Your Devices: Connect each Echo Dot Max to a power outlet using the provided power adapters. The light ring on the device will turn blue, then orange, indicating it is ready for setup.
- Download the Alexa App: On your mobile device, download the latest version of the Amazon Alexa app from your app store. The Alexa app is compatible with Fire OS, Android, and iOS devices.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Open the Alexa app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Echo Dot Max devices to your Wi-Fi network. Amazon Wi-Fi simple setup is supported for easy connection.
- Enable Alexa+ Early Access: During setup, you will have the option to upgrade to Alexa+ Early Access for a smarter, more proactive AI assistant.

Stereo Pairing
To enjoy richer, room-filling sound, you can pair your two Echo Dot Max devices as a stereo pair:
- Ensure both Echo Dot Max devices are set up and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Alexa app.
- Go to Devices > Echo & Alexa.
- Select one of your Echo Dot Max devices.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear symbol).
- Under Audio Settings, select Stereo Pair / Subwoofer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select the second Echo Dot Max and designate left and right channels.
Operating Your Echo Dot Max
Voice Control with Alexa
Your Echo Dot Max is primarily controlled by voice. Simply say the wake word, "Alexa," followed by your command or question. Alexa+ offers a more natural and conversational experience.

Privacy Features
Your Echo Dot Max is designed with multiple layers of privacy controls. You can physically disable the microphones by pressing the microphone enable/disable button located on the top of the device. The light ring will turn red when the microphones are off.

eero Built-in

Maintenance
To maintain your Echo Dot Max, follow these simple guidelines:
