3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Pecron D39 DC UPS:
- Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the D39 UPS and all accessories from its packaging. Refer to the packing list to ensure all components are present.
- Connect to Power: Plug the provided AC cable into the D39's AC input port and then into a standard wall outlet (80-260V AC). The D39 will begin charging.
- Identify Device Voltage: Determine the required input voltage (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, or 24V) for the device you wish to power (e.g., WiFi router, modem, security camera). This information is usually found on the device's power adapter or in its user manual.
- Select Output Port:
- For 5V, 9V, or 12V DC devices, use the corresponding DC5521 output port.
- For 5V USB-powered devices, use the USB-A port.
- For PoE-powered devices, connect to the PoE port and ensure the 15V/24V selector switch is set to the correct voltage for your device.
- Connect Your Device: Use the appropriate cable (DC5521 cable or Ethernet cable for PoE) to connect your device to the selected output port on the D39.
- Power On: Press the ON/OFF switch on the D39 to power it on. The LED indicators will show the battery level.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Pecron D39 DC UPS:
- Regular Charging: Keep the D39 connected to AC power when not in use to ensure it is fully charged and ready for unexpected power outages.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge it every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the D39 to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Pecron D39, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Device Not Powering On:
- Ensure the D39 is powered on and has sufficient battery charge.
- Verify that the connected device's power cable is securely plugged into the correct output port on the D39.
- Confirm that the output voltage selected on the D39 (for DC5521 or PoE) matches the input voltage requirement of your device.
- No Internet During Power Outage (for routers/modems):
- Check if the D39 is providing power to both your router and modem (if applicable).
- Ensure all network cables (LAN, WAN) are securely connected.
- Verify that your internet service provider's network is operational during the outage. The UPS only powers your local equipment, not the external network.
- PoE Port Not Functioning:
- Ensure the 15V/24V selector switch is set to the correct voltage for your PoE device.
- Confirm that your device is compatible with passive PoE (15V or 24V) as provided by the D39.
- Check the Ethernet cable connection.
- Battery Drains Quickly:
- Ensure the D39 is fully charged before use.
- Verify that the total power consumption of connected devices does not exceed the D39's maximum output power (36W).
- Environmental factors like extreme cold can affect battery performance.
If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact Pecron customer support for further assistance.
