4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Choosing the Whisk
- For Frothing (Hot or Cold): Use the frothing whisk (with the spring coil).
- For Heating Milk (Minimal Foam): Use the heating whisk (flat whisk).
Insert the desired whisk onto the pin at the bottom of the jug before adding milk.
4.2 Adding Milk
- Pour fresh, cold milk into the jug.
- Observe the internal fill lines:
- MAX FROTH: Do not exceed this line when frothing milk (approx. 150ml).
- MAX HEAT: Do not exceed this line when only heating milk (approx. 300ml).
- MIN: Always fill at least to the minimum line (approx. 75ml).
Using whole milk (3.5% fat) typically yields the best frothing results.
4.3 Selecting a Program
Place the jug onto the induction base. The control panel on the base features several illuminated icons. Press the power button (⏻) to activate the frother, then select your desired function:
- Hot Dense Foam: Press the button with the cup with three wavy lines icon. Ideal for cappuccinos.
- Hot Airy Foam: Press the button with the cup with two wavy lines icon. Suitable for lattes.
- Hot Milk (No Foam): Press the button with the solid cup icon. Use the heating whisk for best results.
- Cold Foam: Press the button with the snowflake icon. The milk will be frothed without heating.
The selected program's indicator light will illuminate. The frother will automatically stop when the program is complete.
4.4 After Frothing
- Carefully remove the jug from the base.
- Pour the frothed milk into your beverage.
- Clean the jug and whisk immediately after use to prevent milk residue from drying.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your frother.
- Unplug: Always unplug the frother from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Cool Down: Allow the frother to cool completely before cleaning.
- Jug and Whisk: Remove the whisk from the jug. Wash the stainless steel jug and whisk attachments with warm soapy water using a soft sponge or the provided cleaning brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately. The jug and whisks are dishwasher safe (top rack only).
- Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the induction base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Store the frother in a clean, dry place when not in use.
