Introduction
Thank you for choosing the OGHom Portable Handheld Garment Steamer. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.
Important Safety Information
- Power Supply: This steamer is designed for 110-120V voltage only (e.g., United States, Canada, Japan). Connecting it to a 220V-240V socket or other incompatible voltage will cause product damage and poses a safety risk.
- Water Usage: It is recommended to use distilled or purified water to prevent mineral buildup and prolong the life of the appliance.
- Additives: Do not add perfume, essential oils, or any other scented substances to the water tank. These can damage the internal components and affect steam output.
- Hot Steam: Exercise extreme caution when operating. The steam is hot and can cause burns. Keep hands and face away from the steam nozzle.
- Household Use Only: This appliance is intended for household use only.
- Children: Keep out of reach of children.

Operating Instructions
The OGHom steamer is suitable for various fabrics including chiffon, silk, wool, cotton, linen, and nylon.
- Prepare Garment: Hang your garment on a hanger. Gently pull the fabric taut with one hand while steaming with the other.
- Steaming Technique: Hold the steamer upright, about 1-2 inches away from the fabric. Move the steamer slowly over the wrinkled areas in a downward motion. For stubborn wrinkles, pass the steamer over the area multiple times.
- Using Attachments: The fabric brush attachment can help to open the weave of the fabric for deeper steam penetration and to remove lint.
- Horizontal Steaming: The steamer's design allows for horizontal steaming without water leakage, making it suitable for items like curtains or tablecloths laid flat.

Maintenance
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, unplug the steamer and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent mineral buildup.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. For internal cleaning or descaling, refer to the detailed instructions in the user manual, which may involve using a vinegar solution or lemon pieces to remove mineral deposits. After cleaning with any detergent, run the machine with clean water several times to flush out residual detergent.
- Storage: Store the steamer in a cool, dry place. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped and secured to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your OGHom steamer, please refer to the following common solutions:
- No Steam: Ensure the water tank is filled and properly attached. Check if the steamer is correctly plugged into a working 110-120V outlet and powered on. Allow sufficient time for preheating (approx. 20 seconds).
- Water Leaking: Ensure the water tank is securely attached and not overfilled.
- Mineral Buildup: If steam output is reduced or white residue appears, descale the steamer as per the cleaning instructions in the full user manual.
