2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Attaching the Steering Wheel

The CSL Steering Wheel GT3 comes with a QR2 Lite Wheel-Side preinstalled. This motorsport-derived quick release system is designed for secure and fast attachment/detachment to a compatible Fanatec Direct Drive Base.

1. Align the QR2 Lite Wheel-Side with the QR2 Base-Side on your Fanatec Direct Drive Base.
2. Push the steering wheel firmly onto the wheelbase shaft until it clicks into place.
3. Ensure the quick release mechanism is fully engaged and secure before use.

2.3 Platform Compatibility

The CSL Steering Wheel GT3 is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. It is also compatible with Windows PC. For PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 compatibility, the wheel must be attached to a PlayStation licensed Fanatec Direct Drive Base.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Controls Overview

• Two Multi-Position Switches with encoders

3.2 Magnetic Shifters

The custom-designed rocker paddle shifters are made from anodized aluminum, allowing for quick and tactile up and down-shifts with one hand. Shifting is possible from both sides of the wheel.

3.3 Dual Analog Paddles

The dual analog paddles support four switchable modes:

• Clutch Bite-Point Mode: For precise race starts.
• Clutch/Handbrake Mode: Assign one paddle to clutch and the other to handbrake.
• Brake/Throttle Mode: Allows driving without pedals, with one paddle for brake and the other for throttle.
• Mappable Axis Mode: Assign paddles to any desired axis function.

The 1-inch OLED display provides real-time information. You can view hardware settings via the Tuning Menu and display in-game telemetry such as selected gear or current speed.
