5. Installation

The TOMZN TOB15-63 WiFi Smart Circuit Breaker is designed for DIN rail mounting within an electrical panel or suitable enclosure. Ensure the installation environment is dry and protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

  1. Power Disconnection: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is completely disconnected at the source. Use a voltage tester to confirm no power is present.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the circuit breaker onto a standard DIN rail in your electrical panel.
  3. Wiring:
    • Connect the incoming live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the designated input terminals (usually marked 'IN' or with arrows pointing inwards).
    • Connect the outgoing live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the designated output terminals (usually marked 'OUT' or with arrows pointing outwards).
    • Ensure all connections are tight and secure using the screw-type terminals. Loose connections can cause overheating and fire hazards.
  4. Verification: Double-check all wiring connections for correctness and security.
  5. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and verified, restore power to the circuit.

6. WiFi and Ewelink App Setup

To utilize the smart features of your circuit breaker, you need to connect it to your WiFi network via the Ewelink application.

  1. Download Ewelink App: Download and install the Ewelink app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Enter Pairing Mode: With the circuit breaker powered on, press and hold the "ON/OFF" button (located below the navigation buttons, as shown in Figure 1) for approximately 5 seconds until the WiFi indicator light starts blinking rapidly. This indicates the device is in pairing mode.
  4. Add Device in App: In the Ewelink app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the device type (e.g., "Electrical Switch" or "Circuit Breaker") and connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  5. Confirmation: Once successfully paired, the WiFi indicator light on the circuit breaker will become solid, and the device will appear in your Ewelink app. You can now rename the device and control it remotely.

To adjust protection parameters (over-voltage, under-voltage, current limit, delay-on time):

  1. Press and hold the 'SET' button for a few seconds until the display enters parameter adjustment mode.
  2. Use the 'SET' button to cycle through the adjustable parameters (e.g., Over Voltage, Under Voltage, Current Limit, Delay Time).
  3. When the desired parameter is displayed, use the Up and Down arrow buttons to adjust its value.
  4. After setting the value, press 'SET' again to confirm and move to the next parameter, or wait a few seconds for the device to automatically save and exit adjustment mode.
