1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your BROMECH Price Computing Scale and Commercial Food Scale (Models BCS07AA & BCS30JE21). Please read this manual thoroughly before using the scale to ensure accurate and efficient operation. 3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Verify that all parts are present: scale base, stainless steel weighing tray, and AC power adapter.
3. Remove any protective films from the display and weighing platform.

3.2 Placement

• Place the scale on a firm, level, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings.
• Adjust the four anti-slip feet at the bottom of the scale to level it. The scale should not wobble.
• Avoid placing the scale near strong vibrations, drafts, or extreme temperature changes.

3.3 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to charge the scale for 8 hours. This helps to optimize battery life.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on or off.

4.2 Basic Weighing

1. Ensure the scale is on and the display shows '0.000' in the weight window.
2. Place the item to be weighed directly onto the stainless steel tray.
3. Read the weight displayed in the 'Weight (kg/lb)' window.

4.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, ensuring only the net weight of the product is measured.

1. Place the empty container on the weighing tray.
2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to '0.000'.
3. Add the product to the container. The display will show only the weight of the product.
4. To clear the tare, remove the container and press TARE again.

4.4 Unit Conversion (KG/LB)

The scale can switch between kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb).

• Press the KG/LB CH button (or similar unit button) to toggle between kg and lb units.

4.5 Price Computing

This function allows you to calculate the total price based on weight and a set unit price.

1. Place the item on the weighing tray.
2. Enter the unit price using the numeric keypad. The unit price will appear in the 'Unit Price ($/kg or $/lb)' window.
3. The 'Sum ($)' window will automatically display the total calculated price.

4.6 Storing Unit Prices (M1-M5)

The scale features shortcut buttons (M1-M5) to store frequently used unit prices.

1. Enter the desired unit price using the numeric keypad.
2. Press and hold one of the M1-M5 buttons until the price is stored.
3. To recall a stored price, simply press the corresponding M1-M5 button.

4.7 Accumulation Function (M+)

The accumulation function allows you to sum up the total price of multiple items.

1. Weigh the first item and enter its unit price. The total price will be displayed.
2. Press the M+ button to add this price to the total accumulation.
3. Repeat for subsequent items.
4. To view the accumulated total, press the SUM button (if available, or refer to specific model instructions).
5. To clear the accumulation, press the MC button.

4.8 Dual Display

Both models feature dual displays, allowing both the operator and the customer to view weight, unit price, and total price simultaneously.
