1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee maker.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.

3.2 First Use (Cleaning Cycle)

Before brewing coffee for the first time, run a cleaning cycle with water to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Fill the water tank with clean water up to the 14-cup mark.
  2. Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
  3. Press the CLEAN button. The machine will run a full brewing cycle with water only.
  4. Once the cycle is complete, discard the water from the carafe.
  5. Repeat this process once more for thorough cleaning.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Brewing Coffee

  1. Open the top lid and place the reusable filter into the filter basket.
  2. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is 1 tablespoon of coffee per cup, adjusted to personal preference.
  3. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water to the desired level, corresponding to the number of cups you wish to brew. The external water level line provides clear visibility.
  4. Close the top lid securely.
  5. Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
  6. Press the BREW/OFF button to start brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
  7. The coffee maker will automatically stop brewing when the cycle is complete and switch to the keep warm function.

4.2 Programming the Brew Time (24-Hour Reservation)

You can program the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time within a 24-hour period.

  1. Prepare the coffee maker with water and ground coffee as described in Section 4.1.
  2. Press the PROG button. The display will show 'PROG'.
  3. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired start time for brewing.
  4. Press the PROG button again to confirm the setting. The program indicator will light up.
  5. The coffee maker will automatically start brewing at the set time.

4.3 Keep Warm Function

The coffee maker automatically keeps coffee warm after brewing. You can adjust the warming temperature and duration.

  1. Press the WARM TEMP button to cycle through available warming temperature settings (e.g., 158°F, 167°F, 176°F).
  2. Press the WARM TIME button to adjust the duration the coffee will be kept warm (up to 4 hours).
  3. The selected settings will be displayed and saved.

4.4 Bold Brew Mode

For a stronger coffee flavor, activate the Bold Brew mode.

  • Before starting the brew cycle, press the BOLD BREW button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Proceed with brewing as usual. The machine will adjust the brewing process for a bolder taste.

4.5 1-4 Cups Setting

This setting optimizes the brewing process for smaller batches (1 to 4 cups) to ensure full flavor extraction.

  • If brewing 1 to 4 cups, press the 1-4 CUPS button before starting the brew cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Proceed with brewing as usual.

4.6 Grab-and-Go Auto Pause Brewing

The anti-drip design allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing without spills.

  • During a brew cycle, you can remove the carafe for up to 30 seconds to pour a cup of coffee.
  • The brewing process will automatically pause. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 30 seconds to resume brewing and prevent overflow.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. After each use, unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Remove the reusable filter and discard used coffee grounds. Rinse the filter and carafe with warm, soapy water.
  3. Wipe the warming plate and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  4. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling or storing.

5.2 Descaling (Easy Cleaning Mode)

Mineral deposits from water can affect coffee maker performance. The machine will automatically remind you to clean after approximately 90 uses.

  1. When the cleaning indicator illuminates, prepare a descaling solution. You can use a mixture of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) or a commercially available descaling solution.
  2. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
  3. Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
  4. Press the CLEAN button. The cleaning process will take approximately 50 minutes and cannot be interrupted.
  5. Once the cycle is complete, the cleaning indicator will turn off. Discard the solution from the carafe.
  6. Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse the machine thoroughly and remove any residual descaling solution taste.

Note: After using the coffee machine for more than 3 months, use a specially formulated descaler or citric acid for effective cleaning to prevent a decrease in heating performance.
