6. Maintenance

DATOUBOSS LiFePO4 batteries require minimal maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries. However, following these guidelines will ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check the battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean terminals with a wire brush if necessary and ensure they are tightened.
  • Cleaning: Keep the battery surface clean and dry. Use a damp cloth to wipe away any dust or debris. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-70% State of Charge (SoC) and stored in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20°C to 65°C for discharge, 0°C to 45°C for charge).
