Operating Instructions
1. Recording Modes
The D018 dash cam supports 3-channel simultaneous recording:
- Front Camera: Records in 4K (3840x2160P) with a 170° wide angle.
- Rear Camera: Records in 4K (3840x2160P) with a 150° wide angle.
- Cabin Camera: Records in 1080P with a 150° wide angle, featuring four invisible infrared lights for clear recording in darkness.

2. Loop Recording
When the MicroSD card is full, the loop recording feature automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked files to ensure continuous recording without manual intervention. Video segments are typically recorded in 1, 3, or 5-minute intervals (configurable in settings).

3. G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency videos are stored in a separate folder on the MicroSD card.
4. Night Vision
The dash cam features enhanced WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and Super Starlight Night Vision technology. The front camera uses an F1.5 large aperture and the rear camera uses an F1.8 large aperture for improved low-light performance. The cabin camera utilizes four invisible infrared lights to capture clear footage even in complete darkness.
5. Built-in GPS
The integrated GPS module records precise driving routes, locations, and speed data. This information is embedded directly into the video files. You can view real-time speed, compass, and timestamp on the 3.18" IPS screen, or review GPS-tagged videos using the "Terunsoul App" or a dedicated GPS player for Windows and Mac.
6. WiFi 6 & App Control
Connect your smartphone (iOS or Android) to the dash cam via dual-band WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5.8GHz) using the "Terunsoul App". This allows you to:
- View live footage.
- Manage and download recorded videos (up to 20MB/s transfer speed).
- Adjust camera settings.
- Update firmware wirelessly (OTA).
7. 24-Hour Parking Monitoring
To enable 24-hour parking monitoring, a separate hardwire kit (ASIN: B0FN848PK2) is required. This feature supports:
- Time-Lapse Recording: Records continuously at a low frame rate (1/2/5 frames per second) to conserve power and storage.
- Collision Detection: If a collision is detected while parked, the dash cam will automatically wake up, record, and lock the video segment.
Maintenance
1. MicroSD Card Care
Regularly format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) through the dash cam's settings menu to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Use only high-endurance MicroSD cards designed for dash cam use.
2. Lens Cleaning
Keep the camera lenses clean to ensure clear video quality. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lenses. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
3. Firmware Updates
Check for firmware updates periodically via the "Terunsoul App". Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated ensures access to the latest features and performance improvements.
