Installation
Tools Required
- Screwdriver (Phillips head)
- Wire strippers
- Drill (if creating a new opening)
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Safety glasses
Installation Steps
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker for the room where you will install the light and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Opening: If replacing an existing fixture, remove it. If installing in a new location, mark and cut a circular opening in the ceiling with a diameter appropriate for the 30cm recessed light.
- Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the household electrical wires to the light fixture's wires. Typically, this involves connecting live to live, neutral to neutral, and ground to ground. Use wire nuts from the installation kit to secure connections.
- Secure Fixture: Gently push the light fixture into the ceiling opening. The spring clips on the sides of the fixture will hold it securely in place.
- Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely installed, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
