2. Important Safety Information

4. Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the slow cooker.
- Clean: Wash the removable pot and glass lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the slow cooker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.
- Insert Pot: Place the clean, dry removable pot into the main unit.
- Power: Plug the power cord into a standard 100-volt electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
5. Operating Instructions
Your GreenPan Slow Cooker offers multiple cooking functions for various recipes.
5.1. Control Panel Functions
- MENU: Cycles through preset cooking modes (e.g., Slow Cook, Roast, Steam).
- TEMP: Adjusts cooking temperature (Low, Medium, High, Simmer, Reheat).
- TIME +/-: Adjusts cooking time in increments.
- DELAY TIMER: Sets a delay before cooking begins.
- BROWN/SAUTÉ: Activates the browning/sauté function for searing ingredients directly in the pot.
- START/STOP: Begins or ends a cooking cycle.
- KEEP WARM: Automatically switches to keep warm mode after cooking, or can be selected manually.

5.2. Slow Cooking
- Add ingredients to the removable pot.
- Place the lid on the pot.
- Press the MENU button to select "Slow Cook" or set desired temperature using TEMP (Low, Medium, High).
- Use TIME +/- to set the cooking duration.
- Press START/STOP to begin. The unit will automatically switch to "Keep Warm" when cooking is complete.
5.3. In-Pot Browning/Sautéing
- Ensure the removable pot is in the main unit.
- Press the BROWN/SAUTÉ button.
- Add a small amount of oil if desired, then add ingredients to brown or sauté.
- Stir occasionally until desired browning is achieved.
- Press START/STOP to end the browning cycle, then proceed with slow cooking or other functions.
5.4. Keep Warm Function
The slow cooker automatically enters "Keep Warm" mode after a cooking cycle. You can also manually select this function by pressing the KEEP WARM button. This function is designed to keep food at a serving temperature, not to cook or reheat cold food.
5.5. Delay Timer
- Set your desired cooking mode and time.
- Press the DELAY TIMER button.
- Use TIME +/- to set the delay duration before cooking begins.
- Press START/STOP. The timer will count down, and then the cooking cycle will automatically start.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
