Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or rear panel) to turn the flash on or off. The touch screen will illuminate upon activation.
4.2. Flash Modes
The Z3-N supports multiple flash modes for various photographic needs:
- TTL Mode: Through-The-Lens automatic flash, which measures the light through the camera lens to determine the correct flash output.
- M (Manual) Mode: Allows manual control over flash output from 1/256 to 1/1 power with 0.1EV precision.
- RPT (Stroboscopic) Mode: Fires a series of rapid flashes during a single exposure, ideal for capturing multiple movements of a subject.

4.3. High-Speed Sync (HSS)
The Z3-N supports 1/8000s HSS, allowing you to use flash at shutter speeds faster than your camera's native sync speed. This is useful for freezing fast action or overpowering ambient light outdoors.
4.4. Front/Rear Curtain Sync
Supports both front and rear curtain sync. Front curtain sync fires the flash at the beginning of the exposure, while rear curtain sync fires it at the end, creating different motion blur effects.

4.5. Modeling Lamps
Equipped with two 3300K LED modeling lamps offering 10 brightness levels. These lamps provide a continuous light source to preview lighting effects before taking a shot.

4.6. Touch Screen Interface
The Z3-N features a large, high-definition color touch screen for intuitive control. Adjust power, mode, and modeling light settings directly on the screen. A dedicated TTL/M toggle switch is also available for quick mode changes.

4.7. Flexible Flash Head
The flash head can rotate horizontally from 0-330° and tilt from -7° to 120°, allowing for bounce flash and flexible lighting angles.

5. Battery and Charging
The Z3-N is powered by a 3000mAh lithium battery, providing up to 500 full-power flashes and a rapid recycle time of 1.7 seconds. The battery can be charged directly via the USB Type-C port on the flash unit or using an external charging dock (not included) for a full charge in approximately 2.5 hours.

6. Wireless System
The flash features a built-in 2.4G Wireless Q System, offering 4 control groups, 32 channels, and 99 IDs. It can function as both a master and slave unit for other Q flashes. It is also compatible with the Godox 2.4GX system (RX COMPAT) and can work as a slave unit with Xpro, X3, and X2 transmitters. Note that the Q system and X system cannot be used simultaneously, and a firmware update may be required for full compatibility.
