2.2. Adjusting the Seat Panel for Hip Health
The seat panel features adjustable Velcro to ensure your child's legs are in the hip-healthy "M" position, with knees higher than their bottom.
- For newborns (7-35 lbs), ensure the Velcro is adjusted to narrow the seat, supporting their smaller size.

3. Operating Instructions: Carry Positions
The Mabē Monarch offers three primary ergonomic carry positions. Always ensure your child is securely positioned and able to breathe freely.
3.1. Front Facing In (Newborn to Toddler, 7-35 lbs)
This position is suitable from birth (7 lbs) and is ideal for bonding and supporting your child's head and neck.
- With the waistband fastened, hold your child against your chest.
- Bring the carrier panel up over your child's back, ensuring their bottom is deep in the seat.
- Bring one shoulder strap over your shoulder, reach behind your back, and clip it to the opposite side of the carrier. Repeat for the other strap, creating an 'X' across your back.
- Adjust straps until snug, ensuring your child's head is close enough to kiss and their airway is clear.

- Ensure the seat panel is adjusted to support your child's thighs from knee to knee.
- Position your child facing outwards, with the carrier panel supporting their back.
- Fasten and adjust shoulder straps as described for Front Facing In, ensuring a snug fit.
- Always monitor your child for signs of discomfort or overstimulation.
