4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install the HELIOS E1-750 Power Supply into your desktop computer system:

  1. Preparation: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your computer case.
  2. Remove Old PSU (if applicable): Disconnect all cables from your old power supply. Unscrew and remove the old PSU from the case.
  3. Install New PSU: Carefully slide the HELIOS E1-750 into the power supply bay of your computer case. Align the screw holes and secure the PSU with the provided mounting screws.
  4. Connect Motherboard Power: Connect the 20+4 pin ATX main power connector to your motherboard. Ensure it clicks into place.
  5. Connect CPU Power: Connect the 4+4 pin EPS/ATX 12V connector to your motherboard's CPU power socket.
  6. Connect Graphics Card Power: If your graphics card requires external power, connect the appropriate PCIe 6+2 pin connectors.
  7. Connect Peripherals: Connect SATA power connectors to your storage drives (HDDs, SSDs) and other peripherals as needed. Connect Molex connectors for older devices if necessary.
  8. Cable Management: Utilize the flat cable design to route cables neatly behind the motherboard tray or in other designated areas to improve airflow and aesthetics.
  9. Close Case: Once all connections are secure and verified, close your computer case.
  10. Connect AC Power: Connect the AC power cord to the power supply's inlet and then to a grounded wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

After successful installation, follow these steps to operate your system with the HELIOS E1-750 Power Supply:

  1. Power Switch: Ensure the power switch on the rear of the power supply (refer to Figure 2) is in the 'ON' (I) position.
  2. System Power On: Press the power button on your computer case. The system should boot normally.
  3. Fan Operation: The power supply fan will operate to cool the unit. Its speed may vary depending on the load and temperature.
  4. Power Off: To power off your system, use the operating system's shutdown function. For complete power disconnection, switch the PSU's rear power switch to the 'OFF' (O) position and unplug the AC power cord.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your power supply:

  • Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust from the power supply's fan and ventilation grilles using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Ventilation Check: Regularly check that the computer case has unobstructed airflow to prevent heat buildup.
  • Cable Integrity: Ensure all power cables remain securely connected and are not pinched or damaged.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HELIOS E1-750 Power Supply, consider the following:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the AC power cord is securely connected to both the PSU and the wall outlet.
    • Ensure the power switch on the PSU's rear is in the 'ON' (I) position.
    • Verify that the 20+4 pin ATX and 4+4 pin CPU power connectors are firmly seated on the motherboard.
    • Test the wall outlet with another device to confirm it has power.
  • System Instability/Crashes:
    • Ensure all power connectors to components (motherboard, CPU, GPU, drives) are correctly and securely attached.
    • Check for proper ventilation within the PC case to prevent overheating.

  • Unusual Noises:
