Setup Guide

1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker using the provided USB-C charging cable. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

• Connect the USB-C cable to the speaker's charging port.
• Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
• A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.

2. Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power button () for 2-3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the LED indicator lights up.
• To power off, press and hold the Power button again for 2-3 seconds.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode when powered on for the first time or if no device is connected. The LED indicator will flash blue.

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in pairing mode.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth.
3. Search for "Monster S290" in the list of available devices and select it to connect.
4. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the LED indicator will turn solid blue.

4. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

For an enhanced stereo experience, you can pair two Monster S290 speakers together.

1. Ensure both S290 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button (often indicated by an 'M' or a chain link icon, refer to your quick start guide for exact icon) for 2-3 seconds.
3. The primary speaker will search for the secondary speaker. Once connected, you will hear an audible prompt.
4. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in step 3. Both speakers will play audio in stereo.

5. Connecting via AUX, TF Card, or USB

The speaker supports multiple input options:

• AUX Input: Connect an audio device using the provided 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX port. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
• TF Card Playback: Insert a TF (MicroSD) card with audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically begin playing music from the card.
• USB Playback: Insert a USB flash drive with audio files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically begin playing music from the USB drive.

Button Functions

• Power Button (): Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to switch between input modes (Bluetooth, AUX, TF Card, USB).
• Play/Pause Button (): Short press to play or pause music.
• Volume Down / Previous Track Button (): Short press to decrease volume. Long press to go to the previous track.
• Volume Up / Next Track Button (): Short press to increase volume. Long press to go to the next track.
• TWS Button (M): Press and hold to initiate TWS pairing (refer to TWS Pairing section).

Hands-Free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth, the built-in microphone allows for hands-free calling:

• Answer Call: Short press the Play/Pause button.
• End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button during a call.
• Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button.

Maintenance

• Keep the speaker away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and corrosive materials.
• Clean the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging to maintain IPX6 water resistance.
