Safety Information
Your BARNETT Wildcat CRX Crossbow is designed with several safety features. Adherence to all safety warnings and instructions is critical for preventing accidents.
- Always treat the crossbow as if it is loaded.
- Never point the crossbow at anything you do not intend to shoot.
- Keep your fingers and thumb below the flight track and within the pass-through foregrip to avoid injury during firing.
- The Anti-Dry Fire system prevents the crossbow from firing without an arrow properly seated. Do not attempt to override this safety feature.

2. Scope Mounting
Mount the red dot scope onto the integrated Picatinny rail. Secure it firmly using the scope's mounting hardware. Ensure the scope is positioned for comfortable eye relief.

Operating Instructions
1. Cocking the Crossbow
Use the included rope cocking device for secure and consistent cocking. Place the rope cocking device hooks onto the string, position your feet in the stirrup, and pull upwards evenly until the string engages the trigger mechanism. The Rope-Hold Technology assists in maintaining consistent draw.

2. Loading an Arrow
Place a 20" Headhunter arrow onto the flight track, ensuring the nock is fully seated against the string. The Anti-Dry Fire system will prevent firing if the arrow is not correctly loaded.
3. Firing the Crossbow
With the crossbow cocked and an arrow loaded, disengage the safety. Aim at your target, keeping your fingers and thumb within the pass-through foregrip. Squeeze the trigger to fire. Always ensure the safety is engaged immediately after firing or if you are not ready to shoot.
Maintenance
1. Lubrication
Regularly apply the included lubrication wax to the crossbow string and flight track. This reduces friction, extends string life, and maintains optimal performance. Refer to the physical manual for specific lubrication points and frequency.
2. General Care and Inspection
After each use, inspect the crossbow for any signs of wear, damage, or loose components. Clean the crossbow with a soft, dry cloth. Store the crossbow in a cool, dry place, ideally with the string uncocked if storing for extended periods, to relieve tension.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BARNETT Wildcat CRX Crossbow, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Crossbow will not cock: Ensure the rope cocking device is correctly positioned and you are applying even pressure. Check for any obstructions.
- Crossbow will not fire: Verify that an arrow is fully seated against the string and the Anti-Dry Fire system is disengaged. Check that the safety is in the 'fire' position.
- Inaccurate shots: Inspect arrows for damage. Ensure the scope is securely mounted and properly sighted in. Check for any loose components on the crossbow.
- Excessive string wear: Ensure regular lubrication of the string and flight track. Avoid dry firing the crossbow.
