4. Assembly Instructions

The Yanosaku Lift Top Coffee Table requires assembly. All necessary tools, hardware, and a detailed assembly guide are included in the package. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the separate Assembly Guide for best results.

General Assembly Tips:

  • Clear a spacious area for assembly.
  • Organize all hardware and panels before starting.
  • Do not overtighten screws to avoid damaging the wood.
  • It is recommended to have two people for certain assembly steps, especially when handling larger panels or the lift mechanism.

While specific steps are in the included guide, the general sequence involves:

  1. Assembling the base and legs.
  2. Constructing the drawer boxes and installing drawer slides.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Lift-Top Mechanism

The coffee table features a smooth and silent gas lift mechanism. To raise the tabletop, gently pull upwards on the front edge of the main tabletop panel. The gas lift will assist in raising it to a comfortable working or dining height. To lower, gently push down on the tabletop until it returns to its original position. The mechanism is designed for one-hand operation and stable support.

5.2. 180° Flip-Open Top for Dining

For an extended surface, the larger panel of the lift-top can flip open 180° after being lifted. This creates a spacious dining table suitable for 4-6 people, providing comfortable leg room underneath. Ensure the lower table section is raised first to avoid any interference or damage when flipping the top.

5.3. Storage Drawers and Hidden Compartment

The table includes two front-facing drawers and two side-opening drawers for organized storage. The main body of the table also contains a large hidden compartment beneath the lift-top panels, accessible when the top is raised. An open display nook is also available for easy access items.

6. Maintenance and Care

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your Yanosaku coffee table, follow these care instructions:

  • Cleaning: The durable melamine veneer surface is water-resistant and scratch-proof. For routine cleaning, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. For spills, wipe immediately with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Heat Protection: The surface is heat-resistant, but it is recommended to use coasters or placemats for hot items to prevent potential damage over time.
  • Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the tabletop and within drawers to prevent stress on the structure.
  • Mechanism Care: The gas lift mechanism is built for durability. Avoid forcing the mechanism or applying excessive sideways pressure.

  • Wobbly Table:
    • Check that all screws and fasteners are fully tightened.
    • Ensure the table is placed on a flat, even surface.
  • Lift-Top Mechanism Not Functioning Smoothly:
    • Verify that the mechanism was installed correctly according to the assembly guide.
