Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your watch, clean it regularly. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the case and strap. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Water Resistance (5 ATM / 50 Meters)
Your NORTH EDGE Mercury watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is not suitable for:
- Hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas, hot tubs) as temperature changes can affect seals.
- High-pressure water activities (e.g., diving, jet skiing, high-pressure washing).
- Exposure to chemicals (e.g., detergents, solvents, perfumes) which can damage the seals and materials.
Always ensure the watch buttons are not operated when the watch is wet or submerged in water to prevent water ingress.

Image: Visual guide to 5 ATM water resistance, showing that swimming is acceptable, but hot water, high pressure, and chemicals should be avoided.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses one C-type battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance is maintained.

Troubleshooting
- Analog hands not synchronized with digital time: If the analog hands do not match the digital display, enter Time Mode, then press and hold Button A for approximately 5 seconds. The analog hands will automatically adjust to synchronize with the digital time.
- Display is dim or blank: This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the battery as described in the Maintenance section.
- Watch not responding to button presses: The watch might be in a frozen state. Try pressing all four buttons simultaneously for a few seconds to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, a battery replacement might be necessary.
- Water inside the watch: If you notice condensation or water droplets inside the watch, stop using it immediately and take it to a professional watch repair service. This indicates a breach in the water resistance.
