3. Setup
3.1. Initial Battery Preparation
Before first use, ensure the plastic disk preventing battery drain is removed from the battery compartment. This disk is installed to protect the battery during shipping and storage.
3.2. Adjusting the Head Strap
The headlamp comes with a fully adjustable head strap for a comfortable and secure fit. Adjust the strap to fit snugly around your head or over a hat.

4. Operating Instructions
The NEBO Einstein 1000 features 5 light modes, accessible via a single button. The headlamp also has an easy-tilt function to direct light where needed.
4.1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection
- To Turn On: Press the power button once. The headlamp will activate in the last used mode (memory function).
- To Cycle Modes: While the headlamp is ON, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes: High → Medium → Low → Red → Off.
- Turbo Mode: From any ON mode, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to activate Turbo mode (1000 lumens). Turbo mode provides short bursts of maximum power and will return to the previously used mode after 10 seconds to prevent overheating and protect the battery. It can be reactivated at any time.
- To Turn Off: Cycle through all modes until the light turns off, or press and hold the power button for 2 seconds from any mode to turn it off directly.

5. Charging
The NEBO Einstein 1000 is powered by an included rechargeable battery. It can also be powered by two CR123A alkaline batteries (not included) with reduced performance.
5.1. Recharging the Included Battery
- Locate the USB charging port on the headlamp.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the headlamp and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and change color when fully charged.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

6. Maintenance
- Regular Recharging: Recharge a stored battery every three months to maintain optimum performance and battery longevity.
- Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

7. Troubleshooting
- Headlamp does not turn on:
- Ensure the power button is pressed firmly.
- Verify the battery is charged. Allow at least 2 hours for a full charge.
- Check if the plastic battery isolation disk has been removed.
- Headlamp gets hot during use:
- It is normal for the headlamp to generate heat during high output or long runtime modes. Use caution to avoid discomfort.
- Reduced performance with CR123A batteries:
- When using CR123A alkaline batteries, expect reduced light output and runtime compared to the rechargeable battery.
