The JOOAN W8-U is a dual-lens camera supporting 5G WiFi, featuring one fixed lens and one rotating lens for comprehensive coverage. The JOOAN A6M-U is a compact 2.4G WiFi camera with a fixed lens, designed for versatile placement.

3.1 JOOAN W8-U Dual Lens Camera

• Dual Lens System: Features one fixed wide-angle lens and one PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) lens for flexible monitoring.
• Rotation: The PTZ lens can rotate 355° horizontally (pan) and 90° vertically (tilt) for adjustable viewing angles.
• 5G & 2.4G WiFi: Supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz wireless networks for stable connectivity.
• Outdoor Use: IP66 weatherproof design ensures durability in various outdoor conditions.

3.2 JOOAN A6M-U Fixed Lens Camera

• Compact Design: Small form factor for discreet placement indoors or outdoors.
• Fixed Lens: Provides a consistent viewing angle. Manual adjustment of the camera body is required to change the view.
• 2.4G WiFi: Connects to 2.4GHz wireless networks.

4. Setup

4.1 Powering On

1. Connect the provided power adapter to the camera's power port.
2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Wait for the camera's indicator light to show it is ready for pairing (refer to the camera's specific LED indicator guide).

4.2 App Download and Account Creation

Download the cam720 application from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store). Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.

4.3 Connecting Cameras to WiFi

1. Open the cam720 app and tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
2. Select the appropriate camera model (W8-U or A6M-U) from the list.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your WiFi network. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network during the setup process.
4. For W8-U, you can choose between 5GHz or 2.4GHz WiFi. For A6M-U, connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
5. Once connected, you can name your camera and begin viewing the live feed.

4.4 Mounting the Cameras

Both cameras are designed for indoor and outdoor use. The W8-U is typically wall-mounted, while the A6M-U can be placed on a flat surface or ceiling-mounted.

1. Choose a suitable location for your camera, ensuring good WiFi signal strength and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.
2. Use the provided mounting screws and anchors to securely attach the camera bracket to the desired surface.
3. Attach the camera to the mounted bracket.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Playback

Once connected, open the cam720 app to access live feeds. The app supports a 4-split screen view, allowing you to monitor multiple cameras simultaneously. You can also review recorded footage from the playback section.

5.2 Motion and Sound Detection

The cameras feature advanced motion and sound detection. When an event is detected, you will receive an alert notification on your smartphone. The W8-U also includes auto-tracking, a spotlight, and a siren to deter intruders.

• Enable Alerts: Go to camera settings in the cam720 app to enable motion and sound detection alerts.
• Sensitivity Adjustment: Adjust the detection sensitivity to minimize false alarms.
• Auto Tracking (W8-U): The W8-U can automatically track detected movement within its field of view.

5.3 Night Vision Modes

Both cameras offer multiple night vision options:

• Infrared (B/W) Night Vision: Uses infrared LEDs for clear black and white images in complete darkness.
• Color Night Vision: Utilizes built-in white LEDs to provide full-color images at night.
• Timing Color Night: Allows you to set specific times for the camera to switch to color night vision.

Adjust night vision settings in the cam720 app.

5.4 Two-Way Audio and 1-Key Call

The cameras support two-way audio communication, allowing you to speak through the camera and hear responses. The W8-U model includes a '1 key to call' button, enabling users near the camera to initiate a call to the linked smartphone app, ideal for elder or child care.

5.5 Storage Options

Your JOOAN cameras support two primary storage methods:

• MicroSD Card: Supports 8GB to 256GB microSD cards for local 24/7 recording. (MicroSD card not included).
• Cloud Storage: A 30-day free trial of cloud storage is available. Cloud storage provides off-site backup of your recordings.

5.6 Sharing Cameras

You can share access to your cameras with family members or trusted individuals through the cam720 app. This allows multiple users to view live feeds and receive alerts.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the camera lenses and housing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the camera.

The W8-U camera features an IP66 weatherproof design, protecting it from dust and powerful water jets. It is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -35°C to 60°C. Ensure all ports are securely sealed if exposed to the elements.

6.3 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the cam720 app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

7. Troubleshooting

• Camera Not Connecting to WiFi:
  Ensure your WiFi password is correct. Check that the camera is within range of your router. For A6M-U, ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz network. For W8-U, try both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Restart your router and camera.
• No Live View:
  Check your internet connection. Ensure the camera is powered on and connected to WiFi. Restart the cam720 app.
• No Recordings on SD Card:
  Ensure a compatible microSD card (8-256GB) is inserted correctly. Format the SD card through the app settings. Check recording settings in the app to ensure continuous or event-based recording is enabled.
• Alerts Not Received:
  Verify that motion and sound detection are enabled in the app settings. Check your phone's notification settings to ensure the cam720 app has permission to send notifications.
• W8-U PTZ Control Not Responding:
  Ensure the camera has a stable network connection. Restart the camera.
