3. Installation Guide

The OKIBB DL-08 Smart Door Lock is designed for easy DIY installation, typically taking about 15 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver. Ensure your door meets the specified dimensions for compatibility (door thickness 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm), backset 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm), latch hole 1" (25mm), hole diameter 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38mm or 54mm)).

3.1 Prepare the Door

• Use the provided hole opening diagram to mark and drill holes if your door is not pre-drilled.
• Ensure the latch hole is chiseled for a flush fit.

3.2 Install the Deadbolt Latch

• Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the "UP" marking on the latch is facing upwards and aligned vertically with the keyhole.
• Secure the latch with two short screws.

3.3 Install the Exterior Unit

• Thread the power cord from the exterior unit through the door hole first.
• Ensure the metal strip on the exterior unit is upright and vertically aligned with the lock cylinder.
• Insert the exterior unit into the door, ensuring the metal strip passes through the hole in the deadbolt latch.

3.4 Install the Mounting Plate and Interior Unit

• Place the mounting plate on the interior side of the door, aligning it with the exterior unit.

• Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.

To reset the lock to its original factory settings, deleting all user data.

To lock the door from the outside, simply press the lock button on the keypad. From the inside, turn the thumb-turn knob.

When entering your passcode, you can input random digits before and after your actual code to prevent others from guessing your entry sequence. For example, XXX + Passcode + XXX + #.
