Controls and Ports:

  • Power/Mode Button (①/M): Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to switch between modes (Bluetooth, FM, TF, USB, AUX).
  • Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀/♫): Short press for previous track. Long press to decrease volume.
  • Play/Pause (▶▶): Play or pause audio. In FM mode, short press to auto-scan and save stations.
  • Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶/♫): Short press for next track. Long press to increase volume.

  • TF Card Slot: For TF (MicroSD) card playback.

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Speaker

The speaker can be charged via its integrated solar panel or the included USB cable.

  • Solar Charging: Place the speaker with the solar panel facing direct sunlight. The solar panel will convert sunlight into electrical energy to charge the internal battery.
  • USB Charging: Connect the provided USB cable to the DC5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator light will illuminate.

5.2. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Mode (①/M) button for approximately 3 seconds to power the speaker on or off. A voice prompt will indicate the power status.

5.3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode. If not, short press the Power/Mode (①/M) button to switch to Bluetooth mode. A voice prompt will confirm "Bluetooth Mode" and the LED lights will flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "WS-698" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, a voice prompt will confirm "Connected" and the LED lights will stop flashing.

5.4. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

To achieve true wireless stereo sound, you can pair two WS-698 speakers together:

  1. Ensure both WS-698 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not yet connected to any device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be the master speaker), double-press the Play/Pause (▶▶) button. The speaker will emit a pairing tone.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. A voice prompt will confirm successful TWS pairing.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the master speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 5.3. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Bluetooth Mode

  • After successful Bluetooth pairing (see section 5.3), you can play audio from your connected device.
  • Use the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀/♫) and Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶/♫) buttons for track navigation.
  • Long press the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀/♫) or Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶/♫) buttons to adjust the volume.
  • Press the Play/Pause (▶▶) button to pause or resume playback.

6.2. FM Radio Mode

  1. Short press the Power/Mode (①/M) button to switch to FM Radio mode. A voice prompt will confirm "FM Mode".
  2. To auto-scan and save available FM stations, short press the Play/Pause (▶▶) button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
  3. Use the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀/♫) and Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶/♫) buttons to navigate through saved stations.
  4. Long press the Previous Track/Volume Down (◀◀/♫) or Next Track/Volume Up (▶▶/♫) buttons to adjust the volume.

6.3. TF Card Playback

Insert a TF (MicroSD) card with MP3 audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card mode and begin playback. Use the track and volume buttons as described in Bluetooth mode.

6.4. USB Playback

Insert a USB flash drive with MP3 audio files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback. Use the track and volume buttons as described in Bluetooth mode.

6.5. AUX Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the AUX port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. Control playback and volume from your connected device.

6.6. LED Lights

The speaker features built-in LED lights that illuminate during operation, adding a visual element to your audio experience. These lights are synchronized with the audio playback.

7. Maintenance
