Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your Soniclean STV-3 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner with Auto-Empty Base Station. The STV-3 is a 3rd generation cordless stick vacuum designed for versatile cleaning with advanced dust collection and H13 HEPA filtration.

Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions before using this appliance. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

General Safety Precautions:

• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Do not pick up toxic material (e.g., chlorine bleach, ammonia cleaner, drain cleaner).
• Do not use in an enclosed space where vapors are present from oil base paint, paint thinner, some mothproofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapors.
• Do not use to pick up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws, coins, etc.
• Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
• Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing appliance.

Safety Features:

• The STV-3 can sense if the airflow resistance is too high, indicating a full dust bin or a clog.
• The powerhead features a sensor that detects if an object is caught in the brush roll. These features reduce the chance of damage to the vacuum and maintain optimal performance.

Setup

Assembly:

1. Connect the telescopic anodized wand to the main vacuum unit.
2. Attach the desired powerhead (e.g., 10” Powerhead) to the end of the telescopic wand.
3. Ensure the battery is securely inserted into the main vacuum unit.

Base Station Setup and Charging:

The auto-empty base station serves as both a charging dock and an automatic dust disposal unit.

1. Place the base station on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.
2. Plug the base station into a power outlet.
3. Dock the assembled STV-3 vacuum cleaner onto the base station. The vacuum will automatically begin charging.
4. The base station will also automatically extract dust from the vacuum's primary dust bin into a disposable H10 HEPA filter bag.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Suction Settings:

The STV-3 features a powerful high-speed BLDC 500W motor with three suction power settings.

1. To power on the vacuum, press the ergonomic button on the display screen.
2. Toggle through low, medium, and high power levels easily using your thumb on the display screen.
3. Select low for light cleaning of floors, upholstery, and delicate surfaces.
4. Select medium or high for deep cleaning of area rugs and heavily soiled areas.

Dust Detection Feature:

The STV-3 includes an optical dust sensor to detect debris.

• When the vacuum is actively picking up debris, the screen will display “Dust Detected”.
• If “Dust Detected” appears, you may need to pass the vacuum over the surface again.
• When the screen illuminates in green, dust is no longer detected, indicating the surface is clean.

Using Attachments:

The STV-3 can be easily converted into a handheld vacuum for versatile cleaning with various attachments.

• 10” Powerhead with Headlight: Ideal for all floor types, including hard floors and carpets, with integrated headlights to illuminate dust.
• Mini Motorized Powerhead: Excellent for cleaning pet hair and debris from upholstery and stairs.
• 2-in-1 Dusting Brush: Use for delicate surfaces, shelves, and intricate areas.
• Crevice Tool: Perfect for reaching tight spaces, corners, and edges.

Maintenance

Hygienic Dust Disposal:

The base station provides a hygienic and mess-free way to dispose of collected dust.

• When the vacuum is docked, the base station automatically extracts dirt from the vacuum's primary dust bin into a disposable H10 HEPA filter bag.
• The base station also cleans the filter screen, cyclones, and the H13 primary filter in the vacuum.
• The base station itself has an H13 HEPA exhaust filter.
• Replace the H10 HEPA filter bag in the base station as needed, or when the indicator light signals it is full.

Filter Maintenance:

Regular cleaning and replacement of filters are crucial for maintaining optimal performance and air quality.

• Vacuum H13 HEPA Filter: Periodically remove and clean the H13 HEPA filter from the vacuum unit. Refer to the visual indicators or manufacturer guidelines for cleaning frequency.
• Base Station H13 HEPA Filter: Check and replace the H13 HEPA filter in the base station according to usage and manufacturer recommendations.
• Brush Roll Cleaning: Regularly inspect the powerhead brush rolls for tangled hair or debris. Remove and clean as necessary to prevent reduced performance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Soniclean STV-3, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

• No Power: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the base station is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
• Reduced Suction: Check the dust bin for fullness and empty if necessary. Inspect all filters (H13 HEPA in vacuum, H10 HEPA bag in base station) for clogs or excessive dirt and clean/replace them. Check the telescopic wand and powerhead for any blockages.
• Brush Roll Not Spinning: Check the powerhead for any obstructions or tangled hair around the brush roll. The safety feature may have activated to prevent damage.
• Auto-Empty Function Not Working: Ensure the vacuum is correctly docked on the base station. Check if the H10 HEPA filter bag in the base station is full and needs replacement.
