5. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with water to the MAX line, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Filling the Kettle

• Remove the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water.
• Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark (0.9 Liters). Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
• Replace the lid securely.

6.2 Powering On/Off

• Place the kettle onto the power base.
• Press the Power On/Off button to turn the kettle on. The display will illuminate.
• To turn off, press the Power On/Off button again.

6.3 Setting Desired Temperature

• Use the TEMP+ and TEMP- buttons on the base to adjust the target temperature.
• For rapid temperature adjustment, long-press the TEMP+ or TEMP- button.
• The kettle will automatically begin heating to the set temperature.

6.4 Switching Temperature Units (°F / °C)

• To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and hold the TEMP and - buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

6.5 Using the 2-Hour Temperature Hold Function

• After setting your desired temperature, press the HOLD button.
• The kettle will maintain the set temperature for up to 2 hours.
• To deactivate the hold function, press the HOLD button again or remove the kettle from the base.

6.6 Using the Built-in Brew Stopwatch

• Once the water reaches your desired temperature, press the TIMER button.
• The display will start counting up, allowing you to time your pour-over brewing process for consistency.
• Press the TIMER button again to stop the stopwatch.

6.7 Pouring Technique

• The 9mm fine gooseneck spout is designed for precise and controlled pouring. Tilt the kettle gently to achieve a steady, even stream, ideal for pour-over coffee.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your kettle.

7.1 Daily Cleaning

• Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Hand Wash Only: The kettle should be hand washed. Do not immerse the power base in water.
• Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth.
• Rinse the interior of the kettle with warm water and a mild dish soap. Use a soft sponge or brush if necessary.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or next use.

7.2 Descaling

• Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance.
• To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water.
• Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
• Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• For stubborn deposits, a non-abrasive descaling solution designed for kettles can be used following the product's instructions.
