Introduction
This instruction manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch 2. This officially licensed controller features a unique Pokémon: Mega Evolutions design and is engineered for enhanced gaming performance.

The controller is compatible with Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, and Nintendo Switch Lite systems. It offers features such as Hall Effect thumbsticks, mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons, and motion controls for an immersive gaming experience.

Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the controller. Connect the included 10 ft. (3m) USB-C cable to the controller's USB-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., Nintendo Switch dock, USB wall adapter). The LED indicators on the front of the controller will show charging status.

2. Pairing with Nintendo Switch
To pair the wireless controller with your Nintendo Switch system:
- Ensure your Nintendo Switch system is updated to the latest firmware.
- From the HOME Menu, select 'Controllers' > 'Change Grip/Order'.
- While the screen displays 'Press L + R on the controller', press and hold the SYNC Button on the top of the PowerA controller for at least three seconds. The player LEDs will flash and then remain solid once paired.
- Alternatively, connect the controller to the Nintendo Switch dock using the USB-C cable. This will automatically pair the controller.
The controller can be used when the Nintendo Switch system is docked or undocked.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Controls
The controller features standard Nintendo Switch button layouts, including A, B, X, Y buttons, D-pad, L/R and ZL/ZR shoulder buttons, and left/right analog thumbsticks. Familiarize yourself with the button placement for optimal gameplay.

2. Hall Effect Thumbsticks
The Hall Effect thumbsticks utilize magnetic sensors to prevent stick drift, offering smoother control, enhanced precision, and increased longevity compared to traditional analog sticks.

3. Advanced Gaming Buttons
The controller features two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons (AGR and AGL) on the back. These can be programmed on the fly, mid-game, without needing to access system settings.
- To Program: Press the Program Button (PRGM) on the back of the controller. The LED indicator will flash. Press the button you wish to map (A/B/X/Y/L/R/ZL/ZR/D-pad). Then press either AGR or AGL to assign the function. The LED will stop flashing, indicating successful programming.
- To Clear: Press and hold the Program Button for five seconds. The LED will flash rapidly and then turn off, clearing all assigned functions.

4. Motion Controls
The controller supports intuitive motion controls, allowing for aiming, steering, flying, and other in-game actions by tilting and moving the controller. This feature enhances immersion in compatible games.

5. C Button for GameChat
The integrated C Button provides quick access to GameChat features in supported titles, facilitating communication with other players.

6. Battery Life and Indicators
The controller features a rechargeable battery providing up to 30 hours of gameplay on a single charge. LED indicators on the controller's front will display the current battery level and charging status.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To clean your controller, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the controller's finish and internal components.
2. Storage
Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on the controller to prevent damage to buttons or joysticks.
Troubleshooting
- Controller Not Connecting: Ensure the controller is fully charged. Re-attempt the pairing process as described in the 'Setup' section. Verify your Nintendo Switch system is updated.
- Stick Drift: The Hall Effect thumbsticks are designed to minimize stick drift. If you experience issues, ensure the controller's firmware is up to date (check PowerA's official website for updates) and recalibrate the joysticks via your Nintendo Switch system settings if available.
- Battery Not Charging: Try a different USB-C cable or power source. Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the controller and the power source.
- Advanced Gaming Buttons Not Programming: Ensure you are following the programming steps correctly. The LED indicator should flash during the programming sequence.
