3. Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. The machine features suction cups on the bottom for stability.
- Clean Components: Wash the water tank, portafilter, and filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Fill Water Tank: Fill the 1.3L removable water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line. Ensure the tank is securely placed back into the machine.
- First Use (Rinsing): Before brewing coffee, perform an initial rinse cycle. Plug in the machine and press the power button. Once the temperature displays, run water through the group head and steam wand without coffee to clean internal components.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Brewing Espresso
- Power On: Press the power button. The LED display will show the current temperature and heat up to 198°F.
- Prepare Portafilter: Select the appropriate filter (single or double shot) and place it in the portafilter.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Use 8-9g of finely ground coffee for a single shot or 14-15g for a double shot. Use the dosing funnel to prevent spills.
- Tamp: Use the included tamper spoon to firmly press the coffee grounds into the filter basket. Ensure the surface is level.
- Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the group head and turn it firmly to the right until it is securely locked in place.
- Place Cup: Position your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts. Consider warming your cup on the machine's cup warmer.
- Brew: Press the single or double shot button. The machine will initiate the pre-infusion process, then brew the espresso. The LED display will show the brewing time.

4.2 Using the Steam Wand
- Activate Steam: After brewing espresso, press the steam button. The machine will heat up to steam temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Before frothing, turn the steam knob to release any condensed water until only steam comes out. Turn the knob off.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of cold milk in a stainless steel pitcher. Turn the steam knob on. Move the pitcher up and down to create microfoam.
- Clean Wand: Immediately after frothing, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth and briefly purge steam to clear any milk residue.
