Operating Instructions
Display Configuration (Windows)
The UGREEN Maxidok supports various display configurations for Windows laptops with Thunderbolt 5/4 or USB-C Alt Mode support. Refer to the table below for maximum supported resolutions and refresh rates.

Figure 8: Windows Display Resolution and Refresh Rate Compatibility Table. Note: Actual display output may vary depending on host devices and connected cables. Windows laptops with Thunderbolt 3 are not supported for dual monitors via this docking station.
Display Configuration (macOS)
For macOS devices, the dock supports various display configurations. Please consult the table below for detailed resolution and refresh rate information.

Figure 9: macOS Display Resolution and Refresh Rate Compatibility Table. Note: Dual display output on M5/M4 Pro/Max MacBooks may be limited if one monitor's max spec exceeds 4K@60Hz, showing only one display. Connecting two external displays via Thunderbolt ports is a common M1/M2/M3 MacBook limitation. Triple displays are supported only on laptops and computers with Thunderbolt 5 ports.
Data Transfer and Storage
Utilize the 3x USB-A 10Gbps and 3x USB-C 10Gbps ports for connecting external drives, flash drives, and other high-speed peripherals. The integrated M.2 NVMe SSD slot allows for direct, high-speed storage expansion.
M.2 NVMe SSD Installation
The UGREEN Maxidok features an internal M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4x4 slot for storage expansion. Follow these steps to install an SSD:
- Ensure the docking station is powered off and disconnected from your computer.
- Locate the M.2 SSD slot cover on the bottom of the docking station.
- Carefully remove the screws securing the cover and lift it off.
- Insert your M.2 NVMe SSD (2230-2280 form factor) into the slot at a slight angle, ensuring the notch aligns.
- Gently push down the SSD and secure it with the provided screw or retention clip.
- Replace the slot cover and secure it with the screws.
- Power on the dock and connect it to your computer. The new SSD should be detected and may require formatting before use.
Troubleshooting
No Display Output
- Verify all display cables (DisplayPort, Thunderbolt) are securely connected to both the dock and your monitors.
- Ensure your laptop supports the required display output via Thunderbolt 5/4 or USB-C Alt Mode.
- Update your graphics drivers and Thunderbolt firmware on your host device.
- Test with a single monitor to isolate the issue.
Slow Data Transfer Speeds
- Ensure you are using a Thunderbolt 5 certified cable for the upstream connection.
- Check the specifications of your connected devices (e.g., external SSDs) to ensure they support high speeds.
- Verify your host device's Thunderbolt port is functioning correctly and is not bottlenecking the speed.
Charging Issues
- Confirm your laptop supports Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 for 140W charging.
- Ensure the dock's power adapter is securely connected to both the dock and the power outlet.
- Check if the dock's power button is on, as it acts as a hard shut-off for all functions, including charging.
Ethernet Connection Problems
- Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the dock and your router/modem.
- Check network settings on your computer to ensure the Ethernet adapter is enabled and configured correctly.
- Ensure your network infrastructure supports 2.5GbE for optimal performance.
