Troubleshooting Common Issues
Finding Bad Grounds & Short Circuits
The KM06 assists in quickly locating weak grounds or basic short circuits using its polarity LEDs and continuity mode. The long cable and auxiliary ground lead facilitate reaching various points in the vehicle.
No Power/Incorrect Readings
- Ensure the red and black alligator clips are securely connected to the correct battery terminals.
- Check the auxiliary ground lead connection for a solid ground.
- Verify the vehicle battery has sufficient charge.
- Inspect the probe tip for damage or corrosion.
