Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your router, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- No Internet Connection:
- Check all cable connections (power, WAN, LAN) to ensure they are secure.
- Restart your modem and router.
- Verify your ISP connection is active.
- Ensure correct internet connection type (DHCP, PPPoE, Static IP) is configured in the router settings.
- Weak Wi-Fi Signal or Dead Zones:
- Adjust the router's antennas for better signal direction.
- Relocate the router to a central location in your home, away from obstructions and interference sources (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Consider adding an EasyMesh compatible extender to expand coverage.
- Slow Wi-Fi Speeds:
- Ensure your devices are connected to the appropriate Wi-Fi band (5 GHz for faster speeds, 2.4 GHz for longer range).
- Minimize the number of devices actively streaming or downloading simultaneously.
- Check for firmware updates.
- Perform a speed test to confirm your internet speed from your ISP.
- Cannot Access Router Settings Page:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi or via an Ethernet cable.
- Verify you are entering the correct IP address (192.168.0.1) in the browser.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- Forgotten Login Password:
- Use the "RESET" button on the back of the router. Press and hold it for about 10 seconds until the router restarts. This will restore factory default settings, including the default login password and Wi-Fi settings.
